With so many distractions, it’s
easy to get sidetracked. We can’t afford to lose control especially when the
schedule is hectic and there’s little time to set aside for cleaning up. Good
thing is you don’t need to. Make it a habit to set yourself a timer for 30
minutes every day to put away as many things you can in a speedy way.
One load of dishes takes no
more than 7 minutes unless you have really big family.
You’ll love yourself for
cleaning the bathroom counter the night before. Waking up to clean bathroom
sink feels like heaven. It will take only 5 minutes.
Plan the next day:
Planning the next
day is as important as taking an appointment from doctor in advance. It saves
you lot of time and energy as the next day you remain focused on important
tasks. 10 minutes are enough for this task.
Neaten the closet:
Mornings are demanding as we
often find ourselves racing against clock to make it on time. Throwing clothes
on floor seems okay. At night, spend 4 minutes hanging clothes that you are
likely to wear again. Toss dirty clothes in basket for laundry.
Put away random stuff:
Remaining 4 minutes
should be spent putting away anything that’s out of its designated place.
Imagine you are a super hero and have powers to do things in a speedy way.
Challenge yourself to put as many things away as possible.
Tada! You just did what seemed daunting otherwise. 30, undistracted, minutes are all you need every day to get control over your life.
