Transforming
a house into a blissful happy home requires efforts, determination and money on
top of everything else. Buying home deco’s can be a huge money eater;
especially, when you are crazy about giving every corner its rightful
attention. But, to me, decorating home can be extreme fun and super cheap if
you decide to use the crafty bone in you for every home project. If you are
ready to rock, here is part 1 of 20 tips to repurpose household items to get
your inner organization enthusiastic going.
1.
CEREAL BOXES:
So
many DIY projects use cereal boxes as their main item. Be it the project of DIY
drawer dividers or a magazine holder. For later, just cut a sturdier cereal box
in diagonal, decorate it with your favorite wrapping paper and voila, you are
done. What could be simpler than this?
2.
HOOKS MADE OF SPOONS:
I don’t know about you; but,
this project stunned me completely. If you have got some spoons to spare,
flatten them using hammer, mold them near the tip to shape them into a hook and
attach them to a rectangular wooden section to make your very personalized peg.
3.
MAGAZINE RACK FOR LIDS
Getting lids organized is
one of the hardest things; but, no more. Install a magazine rack in kitchen to
nicely hold lids without having to bang them into each other.
4.
CLIP THEM TOGETHER:
There are so many fancy
gadgets available in the market that promise to keep wires becoming an eye
sore. But why waste money when the solution is sitting in the drawer of your
vanity table. Right, It’s your hair clip.
5.
CHARGING STATION:
Ah! Having so many things to
charge, I reckon charging station is a life saver. This amazing charging
station has been made out of a shoe box that secretly holds extension, plugs,
wires and everything that you want to have out of sight. Separate holes for
each type of charger kill every possibility of tangled wires.
6.
A LADDER OR A BOOK SHELF?
Trust me; an extra ladder in the house seldom gets a
permanent home. It is often moved back and forth to make some room for other
things. But, what if I tell you this
extra ladder is going to give a permanent home to your books! I’ll have it
painted though.
7.
DECORATIVE DINNER SET:
If you have a dinner set that has nice patterns printed
on it, it’s time to display them on wall. Dinner plates, especially in dining
room, when used as decorative item can give more definition to the room and
offer greater personalization.
8.
RAKE HEAD AS WINE GLASS
HOLDER:
Wine
glasses look beautiful when hanged in a typical bar style. Don’t worry if you
don’t have a wine glass holder as you can always use rake head instead. If you
don’t have it yourself, ask your neighbors, if they have one extra ready to be
salvaged.
9.
ICE CUBES TRAY:
Ice
cube tray is an incredibly smart solution to your small nut and bolts needs.
Each individual cup in tray can hold smaller items that are, otherwise, easier
to lose.
10.
SUNGLASSES HANGER? YES
PLEASE!
If
you are looking for a solution to organize your sunglasses, you are in luck
today. All you need is a hanger and you are ready to suspend all your glasses
at one place. You can have this hanger installed at the entry way.
