Update on Home Binder and Free Printables:

Ah, it feels home. It really does. Professionally one of the busiest weeks that on some days prolonged to 18 working hours a day. Calling it a night at 3:00 am in the morning did leave me with bulging eyes and aching body; so, I thought, instead of blogging for the sake of blogging, I should wait until I really get back to my normal routine. But, that doesn’t mean, organizing soul inside me was on vacation. No, I stole every minute from my day to bring the organizing sensation in my otherwise hectic work routine. I organized my office drawers, gave them new & fresh labels, I made a box for papers to be recycled, and made many new printables for personal binder. Today, I am going to share the printables story and the good news is I am going to make them available for you for absolutely free. Note: Please click on each picture to start downloading. If you want me to email any of these printables to you, put a comment below.

SHOPPING LIST:

I hate to forget things once I step in the store. And, of course, the solution is to maintain a shopping list. As I told in my previous post, I shop every two months. So, during these two months, this is the list that keeps record of my thoughtful, well researched, well compared wishes along with the price. Instead of adding a separate column for the place I want to buy that thing from I decided to use the main tab for mentioning any such information.
DON’T FORGET TO:

This is such a life saver I can’t even stress enough. Given the kind of girl I am, this list comes in handy every second. Whenever, I don’t find anything in my mind, I refer to this list and phew it’s there. It’s kind of my reminders. Before leaving home, before sleeping, before making any decision, or even for my daily insignificant reminders I maintain this list. Helps so much.
 GOALS LIST:

Unless we have goals set for ourselves, we’ll always feel wandered. At least, I shall. So, this is something that I made up to help me readjust my direction to ensure I am on a right track.

 MONTHLY EXPENSE TRACKER:

How would I even think of keeping track of my finances without it? I am sure you’ll find it handy.

Planner 2014: Weekly To-do List

I’m not telling you it’s going to be easy, I’m telling you it’s going to be worth it. I read it somewhere and found it absolutely true about to-do lists. Some people find it overwhelming to maintain a list of tasks that requires their attention; however, I find it devastating not to have one. It’s funny that making a to-do list releases endorphins in my body and leaves me very cheery. Actually, finishing these tasks off should have made me happy but Anyways J.
If maintaining a to-do list is not your cup of tea then use colors to make it attractive. No matter how old we happen to be, there is still a kid inside us that gets excited to see colors. You’ll experience much more craving to live with your to-do list. You might assign different meanings to different colors. Reds on your to-do list would mean important high priority tasks, Greens on the other hand may be used for financial (money) related matters, blue for personal life, etc. But not every time we have so many markers at hand (though a pouch with all these markers could be tucked inside the binder), you could use black pen for writing down task for adding colored parenthesis later on when you do have access to your stationery. Everything will become visually appealing and far easier to scan.
I have heard many people saying, “We don’t find time to write things down.” The truth is you are yet to experience how amazingly a to-do list can schedule your entire day. Seriously! When I have the next day completely planned out, I have a very productive day. Instead of wasting time on random stuff, I stay focused and get more done every single minute. And the reward often is more quality time with my family. If you find it difficult to squeeze out time in the middle of a busy day, then why not set aside few minutes every night just before you hit bed? Or why not start the day, even before your breakfast, chalking out the plan for the day. It would help!
To-do lists stop working when overloaded. According to Pareto rule, 80% of the impact is the result of 20% bustle. Instead of overburdening yourself and feeling frustrated for not completing items on your list, identify 3 most important tasks every day that’ll help you the most to achieve your goals. The weekly list sample I am attaching today gives enough space to write down 3 important tasks for every day of the week. The purpose of such list is to increase your productivity and not to discourage you. Also, try to write such tasks in an actionable way.
I want to-do lists to give me the bird eye view of my entire week. It offers space for mentioning:
·         22 Tasks over the period of 7 days
·         Birthdays and the gift planning
·         People you want to call
·         Things you plan to buy – ( Shopping Mania)
·         Notes: where you can jot down random thoughts and ideas

Week Planning Checklist:

Hello Sweet M&Ms,
It’s weekend! I love, adore and impatiently wait for weekends as there’s so much that needs to get done for a fresh start and a lovely, productive, and energized Monday. Before I was aware of wonders that getting organized could do, I always thought Mondays are unlucky for me! Have you ever thought that too? Being not prepared in advance, my Mondays usually left me panicked, stressed, and to be honest frustrated. So, as the sun of Sunday used to set, so did my heart!
But, no more! Now, as I mentioned in my post about tips for spending a productive week, I always make a checklist before the start of every week to stay on track for the entire week. And trust me, when I find my clothes hanged, and everything at proper place, I can’t help but smile and my Monday’s mornings are now super fantastic. What helps me do that? My oldie loyal friend: my week planning checklist.

So, what’s so special about it? Everything!
1)    Starting from the top, winter fresh color scheme is such an eye candy. And, quotes are so motivating. What’s so particular about those quotes? They keep me going and make me believe that consistency and right attitude are keys to success. I might not be a super heroine or an extra brilliant; but, simply by not quitting and pushing myself to the best I can achieve just about any goal. I love quotations, and have got a collection of over 5000 quotes. Hands down to me! Hahaha!

2)    Flowery pattern labels, oooohh I love them. When I found them on Google, my soul came out of me and went back inside with gusto. They make my list look gorgeous. Just a print out and you’ll find these flowers rocking.

3)    Look at the entire week. I can’t stress that enough. Unless, I know what challenges I’ll be up against during week, how can I be prepared? When one paper gives me glimpse at important appointments, birthdays, tasks, deadlines and events, I don’t run like a mad bull.

4)    Call Section: Now, this is my secret to ensure I don’t let the social bug inside me die of corporate infection. Just kidding! My job is very demanding and often late sittings and working weekends leave me little space to catch up with my friends. I have a complete list of contacts categorized as family, friends, colleagues etc. Every week, I pick 4 to 5 people that I want to say hello. It ensures I don’t get swayed away too much from my loved ones.

5)    Completely Editable: This checklist is completely editable and you can play with it as you want to.
I hope, you’ll find this helpful. My sister is getting married in coming January. And, as it is going to be the first wedding ceremony in our family, I am super excited. I’ll try to keep you posted about all the preparations. I may cover the event exclusively for you, you never know! Winking!
From now on, I’ll try to keep you posted more about my family life. Do let me know about your response as I’ll be touchily waiting.

Have a nice weekend and,

Travelling Checklist:

Checklists are amazing to avoid surprises and regrets that come with lack of planning. Nobody wants these two notorious words to be attached to a sensational experience of travelling. And, with all honesty, mere planning of a trip excites me so much that I can’t help but turning to my travelling checklist to start day dreaming about the goodness.

Picking out clothes, folding them together as one outfit and stacking them nicely in my cute little suitcase is no less than a cookie treat for me. I looooove to travel; and, I love to pack! Today, I am going to share with you my checklist that has proven to be really handy. Ticking off things is sensational and I have hardly ever forgotten to pack a thing. It’s free to download, you can print it out (if you like a paper-based list, like me) or you can fill it using MS Excel.

It’s practical, fun, colorful and divided into categories. Of course, I had to customize it a bit to make it suit to a larger majority. For example, I don’t have kids. But for people with kiddos, I’m sure you’ll want a designated section for them. Won’t you?
For more, keep coming back!
